Pillwright is not medical advice
Pillwright is an organizer and reference. It shows information drawn from drug labeling and other published sources so that you can ask better questions. It does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition, and it is not a substitute for the judgment of your prescriber or pharmacist.
Pillwright never tells you to start, stop, or change a dose
The app and its assistant are designed so that they never recommend starting, stopping, skipping, or changing a medicine or dose, and never invent a dose. When the app flags an interaction or a spacing rule, it is asking you to check with a professional, not telling you what to do. Dose decisions belong to you and your prescriber.
Limits of the knowledge base
- Interactions and instructions are drawn from public sources and reviewed before release, but no list is complete.
- The app does not know your diagnoses, kidney or liver function, pregnancy status, allergies, or other medicines you did not enter.
- A medicine without a flag is not a medicine without risk.
- Timing suggestions are general. Your prescriber or pharmacist may set different times, and theirs take precedence. The app lets you mark a time as set by your pharmacist so it is not moved.
The nitroglycerin guide
The chest-pain guide reproduces general steps published by the American Heart Association for people who have already been prescribed nitroglycerin. It is a reminder, not a treatment plan. If chest pain does not ease, or at any point you are worried, call 911.
Trackers
Weight, blood sugar, and blood pressure entries are your own records. The in-range labels use common general ranges and are not targets set for you. Your care team sets your targets.
The author
Pillwright is created by Jester Lloyd Bautista, PhD, NP. Nothing in the app creates a clinician-patient relationship between you and the author.
